Our Partners

Teaming up with many partners to accomplish our mission…

We collaborate with the local land managers and community associations in each of our destinations, to identify and plan projects which will benefit conservation and the environment at that location. We also work with local travel service providers for the many support services necessary to have a successful volunteer trip and with other organizations who share our vision that people worldwide can be motivated and mobilized to sustain the world’s greatest landscapes, cultural heritage sites and biodiversity.

In Costa Rica

ConservationVIP® coordinates with the Tortugas Punta Banco Association, which protects sea turtles in the Punta Banco Community on the Pacific Coast of Costa Rica. We also work with the KABEK Families Pro-Quetzal Project.

In the Galapagos Islands

ConservationVIP® coordinates with the Galapagos Science Center and Campo Duro, a giant tortoise restoration site licensed by Galapagos National Park.

In Machu Picchu Sanctuary in Peru

ConservationVIP® coordinates with Instituto Nacional de Cultura (INC) and the Servicio Nacional de Areas Naturales Protegidas por El Estato (SERNANP), the two Peruvian ministries responsible for Machu Picchu Sanctuary.

In Scotland

ConservationVIP® coordinates with the National Trust for Scotland and Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park.

In Tanzania

ConservationVIP® coordinates with the local Gekrum community and Maggie’s Tour Company for the reforestation activities in the highlands near the Great Rift Valley. In the Rau Forest Reserve, we coordinate with the Reserve’s local mangers through Joining Safaris Ltd.

Joining Safaris is a local Tanzanian company

In Torres del Paine National Park in Patagonia

ConservationVIP works with Corporacion Nacional Forestal (CONAF), the Chilean agency responsible for managing the Park. We partner with the local nonprofit Agrupacion Medio Ambiental (AMA), when we are working on the hiking trails within the Park boundaries which cross land owned by AMA’s sponsor.

Torres del Paine Legacy Fund logo We also partner with Torres del Paine Legacy Fund, a travel philanthropy fund which works to enhance both the visitor experience and the long-term health of the park and its surrounding communities.

In Yosemite National Park, Alaska, and Virgin Islands National Park

Conservation Volunteers International Program partners with the National Park Service to determine the volunteer project work which will most benefit the Park and to carry out the volunteer work.

In Virgin Islands we also partner with Friends of the Virgin Islands.

Teaming with REI Adventures from 2010 until 2021 enabled ConservationVIP to grow and expand because we were able to focus our small volunteer staff on the activities where we have real passion, organizing and managing volunteer activities in the world’s greatest landscapes and cultural sites. We were sad that they decided to exit the foreign travel market in March 2021, but we appreciate all the support they gave us.
